The brillant young vocalist Anandi (Aka Sukanya) Bhattacharya became a child prodigy in a family filled with renowned musicians and singers, including her father, slide guitar master Debashish Bhattacharya, who has been her constant guide, and her grandmother, whose vocal music grew and was nurtured within the family. Anandi started training under her aunt Sutapa Bhattacharya at the age of three, and gave her first radio performance at four. When she was 12, she studied under Vidushi Shubhra Guha. Her singing is a mixed style of Agra, Patiala and Maihar traditions. A young singer, born in 1996, she has toured and recorded (Madeira, Beyond the Ragashere) with her father, including an experimental program on Tagore’s songs. She performed extensively with her father first time in USA in the year 2012 at the age sixteen. She has performed in NPR tiny desk concert as well extensively in UK and Australia recently.
A glaring example of total dedication, depth and maturity, Pandit Ramesh Mishra is a phenomenon in the field of Indian classical Music. Mastering over one of the most difficult unique string instruments ' Sarangi', Ramesh Mishra is today acclaimed as an outstanding artist of India. Son of great sarangi maestro Pt. Ramnath Mishra, Ramesh started his initial intensive training at very tender age from his father and acquired further knowledge and training from finest musicians of Benaras Gharana Pandit Hanuman Prasad Mishra and late Pandit Gopal Mishra. Presently Ramesh is under the tutelage of the legendary maestro Pandit Ravi Shankar.
Ramesh's high aesthetic sense, and artistic sensibilities along with his inner soft nature gave recognition both in home and aboard as an eminent soloist as well as an adept accompanist. His perfect restrained tuneful music enthralled the global audience. Besides a recipient of India's most prestigious Sangeet Natak Akademi Puraskar (Akademi Awards) for the year 2008 for his outstanding contribution in the field of music (sarangi), Pt. Subhasis Bhattacharya is a most prominent name in the younger generation of Indian and world music. Melody and rhythm he has born with, as he is the 4th generation of Bhattacharya musician family of Kolkata. The exploration of Indian music for Subhasis was not confined to the knowledge and practice of tabla only, As he has grew up with Vocal, instrumental music, and has been taught to be a good accompanist by his parents, and later by his brother eminent Indian classical guitarist Pandit Debashish Bhattacharya, who has also brought him to the scene of Indian and international music. Subhasis has also learned many intricacies of classical Indian vocal accompaniment from Pandit Ajay Chakrabarty the great maestro.
Subhasis belongs to Rampur Farukhabad schooling of Tabla, as he has been studying under Late Pandit Shyamal Bose, Pandit Prabir Bhattacharya, and Pandit Samir Chatterjee and now he is disciple of maestro Pandit Anindo Chattopadhyay.
