" Born in Algeria of a Spanish mother and a Parisian father, raised in Angola, Tunisia, France and USA, I am a soul of few worlds... I can’t remember a time when music was not in my life! Through my extensive travels as a world citizen, I always been fascinated and intrigued by how music affects us and our social structures.
The concept for HarmoNYom was born out of an urge! That is what I felt when I first encountered Indian Classical Music! When I first heard its music I was spellbound. At that time, I didn’t know how or when, but I knew with absolute certainty that this was what I wanted to do and how I dreamed to put music to use in the world. One year later, In 2008, driven by my passion for world music and the desire to promote the maintenance of cultural diversity in New York and worldwide, I founded HarmoNYom!
By nature of its vision, HarmoNYom fills now a crucial role in the arts and in the classical music field;
By promoting decades of dedication of South Asian musicians and providing a platform for both artists and audiences to share their love and passion for Indian classical music, HarmoNYom is maintaining cross-cultural diversity and multi-ethnic heritage in a city referred to as melting pot, New York!
As a global community,
HarmoNYom joins forces with worldwide organizations, collaborating with schools, universities, venues, festivals, visual artists, worldwide musicians... integrating wider social networks to promote and exchange ideas in efforts to build alliances, and create more opportunities for rising artists within our social, spiritual
and cultural world."
